The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has tightened surveillance measures at entry points in the country owing to a fresh outbreak of Ebola disease in Uganda. Last week, the Ugandan Ministry of Health confirmed the outbreak of the disease with one death and has now followed up with forty-four contacts. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has commenced the enforcement of the mandatory minimum Third-Party Motor Vehicle Insurance. This is in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun. The enforcement began on February 1, 2025.
