President Bola Tinubu has reappointed Kenny Anuwe, as the managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of FGN Power Company Limited.

In a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, on Friday, Tinubu also appointed new members to the management team of FGN Power Company.

“In recognition of the critical role of power supply in driving enterprise and industrial development, and as a part of comprehensive efforts to reform the power sector and ensure energy security for all Nigerians, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new members of the management team of the FGN Power Company Limited,” Ngelale said.

Also, the president reappointed Mamman Lawal as company secretary and legal advisor of FGN Power Company.

The new members appointed by the president are Julius Oyekola Olabiyi, chief financial officer, Ebenezer Fapohunda, chief technical officer, and Babatunde Oniru, chief commercial officer.

With the full constitution of the management team, Ngelale said Tinubu anticipates FGN Power Company will work assiduously to realise the core objectives of the presidential power initiative (PPI) in close collaboration with Siemens Energy through a holistic overhaul, modernisation, and expansion of the national grid and other critical measures to ensure the growth of the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry (NESI)
