The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) today convened a stakeholders’ sensitisation workshop on the Community Content Guidelines (CCG) for the Delta/Edo Zonal Coordination in Warri, Delta State.

Welcoming participants, the NCDMB Delta/Edo Zonal Coordinator, Mr James Eyetigha, explained that the workshop sought to deepen stakeholders’ understanding of Nigerian Content and highlight the importance of structured engagement between host communities and operating companies. He emphasised that stronger collaboration would enable communities to maximise opportunities within the oil and gas value chain.

Delivering the keynote address, the General Manager, Zonal Coordination Directorate, NCDMB, Mr Ifeanyi Ukoha, stated that the programme aimed to equip stakeholders with practical knowledge on how to leverage Nigerian Content for personal advancement and community development. He also stressed the need for sustained cooperation between host communities and industry operators to promote peace, stability and inclusive growth in the sector.

Participants received detailed presentations on the Nigerian Content Equipment Certificate (NCEC), the Nigerian Content Intervention Fund (NCIF), and the Community Content Guidelines.
The sessions outlined compliance expectations and showcased opportunities available to host communities through active participation in oil and gas projects.

The workshop attracted host community leaders, industry operators, contractors and youth representatives from across the Delta/Edo zone. Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships, improving compliance and ensuring that local communities derive tangible benefits from Nigerian Content initiatives.
