The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, on Friday undertook a facility visit to Caverton Helicopters, Lagos, expressing amazement at the advanced state of its technical capabilities for aviation-related services in the oil and gas sector.

He commended the company for its track record of performance and huge investments toward maintenance of helicopters within Nigeria, which he described as a milestone, assuring its Management that NCDMB was prepared to partner the company meaningfully in its ventures.

According to the NCDMB boss, “This is what President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wants: Nigeria First,” adding that “We can change the narrative; we can be what we want to be as a nation without relying on outside sources.”

Engr. Ogbe assured the company that NCDMB would look into the nature of its business and support it, so the company can be sustainable and continue to grow from strength to strength.

He said funding needs of companies in the oil and gas industry could be met through credit facilities available at the African Energy Bank, which the NCDMB, in conjunction with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and several other industry stakeholders in Nigeria and other African countries have invested in.

He explained that within the Board, also, is the Community Contractors Fund, which provides credit facilities to companies in the industry with very low interest rates as a means of facilitating expansion and growth of indigenous businesses.

Engr. Ogbe said there are huge opportunities for Caverton Helicopters in the industry, given the many mega projects that are coming up, among them, Bonga Oil Field, Zabazaba deep water project, and Ubeta Gas Field, along with others over which Final Investment Decisions (FIDs) have been perfected.

Caverton Helicopters, Lagos, is a subsidiary of Caverton Offshore Group, a leading aviation and marine logistics provider in the oil and gas industry
