The Nigerian Government has distanced itself from the ongoing face-off between the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and Dangote Refinery over petrol pricing, stating that it will not intervene in the dispute. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday said no amount of blackmail arising from the prosecution of former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, would make it compromise its integrity. President Bola Tinubu has approved rehabilitation of the proposed building for the Ministry of Livestock Development. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike disclosed this on Wednesday during an inspection of the building located at the Central Business District in Abuja. According to him, President Tinubu has directed rehabilitation of the former building of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to serve as the newly proposed building for the Ministry of Livestock Development. Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Abuja has adjourned the alleged money laundering case filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, until October 30, 2024. The adjournment came as Bello moved to the Supreme Court to file an appeal seeking to set aside the arrest warrant issued by the trial court on April 17.
