Bandits have reportedly attacked a government primary school at Kuriga community of the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, abducting scores of pupils. The community is located along the Kaduna Birnin-Gwari Road which has been terrorised by bandits for many years. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has warned all development finance institutions (DFIs), primary mortgage banks (PMBs), and microfinance banks (MFBs) in the country regarding the late submission of regulatory returns. In separate letters dated March 5, 2024, the CBN expressed strong disapproval concerning the ongoing issue of late submission of returns by banks on the financial analysis (FinA) system. The lower legislative chamber on Thursday passed the resolution during the plenary session after the adoption of a motion sponsored Clement Akanni, a lawmaker from Osun state.
