The Federal Government has proposed to pay N54,000 as minimum wage, as the Tripartite Committee on the New Minimum Wage returned to the negotiation table after the Organised Labour pulled out of the negotiations last week. The Kano State House of Assembly on Tuesday revealed that it had begun a legislative process to amend the Kano State Emirs (Appointment and Deposition) Law amidst calls for the return of the deposed 14th Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi. Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), caused commotion at the federal high court in Abuja on Monday after his bail request was denied.
