The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it is constrained by law from sanctioning politicians who have begun campaigns ahead of the 2027 general election. Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of INEC, spoke on Wednesday in Abuja at a stakeholders’ roundtable on premature political campaigns.
