Iran Threatens To Target Apple, Google, Other U.S. Tech Firms In Middle East, Urges Employees To Evacuate

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stark warning, threatening to target major United States technology companies operating in the Middle East, while urging employees and nearby residents to evacuate immediately.

In a statement relayed by Iran’s Tasnim news agency, the IRGC said American firms involved in technology and artificial intelligence would be considered legitimate targets

“Since the main element in designing and tracking terrorist targets are American and ICT and AI companies … from now on, [these] main institutions will be our legitimate targets,” it said.

The group warned that more than 15 companies could be affected, specifically naming Boeing, Tesla, Meta, Google and Apple among those at risk.

According to the statement, the threats could be carried out from 8 p.m. local time on Wednesday, should further Iranian leaders be killed in what it described as “targeted assassinations.”

The warning marks a significant escalation in tensions, raising concerns about the safety of multinational corporations and their employees across the region.

Earlier, IRGC Aerospace Commander Seyed Majid Moosavi had issued a stark warning to employees of industrial companies linked to the United States and Israel, urging them to leave their workplaces following a series of attacks on Iran’s production sites.

Before today’s development, the IRGC did not mention the companies that are being targeted.

In a post on X last Friday, Moosavi stated, “You tested us once before; the world saw again that you yourselves started playing with fire and attacking infrastructure.”

He further warned that Iran’s response could be more severe than previous confrontations, saying, “This time, the equation will no longer be an eye for an eye; wait and see! Employees of industrial companies associated with the Americans and the Zionist regime should quickly leave their workplaces to avoid endangering their lives.”

The warning comes amid heightened regional tensions and reports of targeted attacks on Iranian industrial facilities in recent weeks.

The IRGC has repeatedly emphasized that foreign involvement in Iran’s industrial sector could trigger serious consequences, signaling an intensification of its defensive posture.

Last Thursday, the Israeli government announced the killing of the Commander of Iran’s IRGC Navy, Alireza Tangsiri, in a targeted military operation.

Israeli Defence Minister, Israel Katz, who confirmed the development stated that Tangsiri was “directly responsible for the terrorist act of bombing and blocking the Strait of Hormuz.”

According to Katz, the naval chief was “blown up” alongside a number of other “senior Navy command officials”.

Tangsiri, a high-ranking military figure, was appointed as the commander of the IRGC Navy in 2018, having previously served as the deputy commander of the force since 2010.

Other leaders of Iran have been killed amid the ongoing Middle East conflict, including the now deceased Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei
