At the unveiling on Wednesday in Abuja, the Minister emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in the implementation of the policy, urging stakeholders to remain engaged and supportive.

The NIEP-SIP is a comprehensive document outlining policy interventions across the entire value chain of the sector, from generation and transmission to distribution and off-grid segments.

It also places a strong emphasis on local content and capacity development, gender mainstreaming, and creating an enabling environment for investment.

The Minister expressed gratitude to stakeholders, industry experts, and development partners who contributed to the policy’s development, confident that their continued support will help achieve the goal of transforming the Nigerian power sector into a self-sustaining catalyst for economic growth and social development
