Police Receives 16 Innoson Pickups To Patrol ‘Crime Prone’ Kaduna-Abuja-Kano Expressway
The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), in partnership with the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF), has donated patrol vehicles to the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
The handover ceremony held on Tuesday at the force headquarters in Abuja.
According to the NSIA, 16 Innoson pickup trucks (IVM carrier) were donated to the police as part of efforts to improve surveillance on the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano road.
Usman Baba, the inspector-general of police, and Uche Orji, managing director and chief executive officer of NSIA, were in attendance.
NSIA serves as the fund manager to the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF).
One of the projects under the PIDF is the Abuja-Kano-Kaduna road project, which stretches from Abuja to Kano through Zaria and Kaduna.
