PDP agent Melaye protests INEC’s results presentation at collation centre

Former Senator Dino Melaye protested the presentation of results at the national collation centre on Monday.

Melaye, who is the agent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisted that uploaded results must be displayed on the screen by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the exercise could continue.

He alleged that the uploaded results differ from what collation officers were presenting.

“INEC failed in the transmission of results. When I and other party agents raised the issue, the INEC chairman evaded the comments,” he said.

The only way for us to see that BVAS has been bypassed is to see uploaded results. We insist the INEC chairman displays uploaded results by state as the results are being presented.”

The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, while responding said, “Dino, you are now deliberately being obstructive.“
